Plantashun Boyz, the singing group that ruled Nigerian music scene years back, got back together over the weekend, in support of one of their own in Lagos.
The group which comprised of Africa’s best singer-Innocent Idibia(2Baba), Chibuzor Orji(Faze) and Augustine Ahmedu(Blackface) gathered for the service of songs of Ifeyinwa Orji, the twin sister of Faze, who died two weeks ago, just two days shy of their birthday.
Faze had announced the death of Ifeyinwa on February 22nd in an Instagram post.
It would be recalled that since the Plantashun Boyz went their different ways, Blackface and 2Baba have been at daggers drawn, often dragging themselves on the social media.
The Plantashun Boyz was formed in the late 1990s. The group, however, split in 2004.
