Contrary to earlier reports in the media(thebladengr.com inclusive), the students abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State, are yet to be released. 317 KIDNAPPED SCHOOL GIRLS FREED IN ZAMFARA

The 317 kidnapped schoolgirls of Government Secondary School in Jangebe, Zamfara have been freed. The girls who were kidnapped on Friday were believed to have been taken to a forest by bandits who reportedly disguised as security personnel.
