ELECTRIC SHACK BOSS, CHUKIE NNEJI’S LATE DAD FOR BURIAL APRIL 13TH

Popular big boy, Chuckie Nneji, the boss of Electric Shack, the upscale chain retailers of top quality audio equipment and accessories, is bereaved. Chuckie lost his father, Chief Sampson Nweke Nneji (JP), Odibo–Oha 1 of Nkanu Land to the cold hands of death, few weeks back. Chief Sampson Nweke Nneji (JP), died on the 10th August 2017 at the Houston Medical Centre, USA at the age of 82 years.

As you read this, all roads lead to Akpugo, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, where the burial of the late father, grandfather and great grandfather will take place on April 13th, 2018.

According to a burial progamme released by the family, there will be a Service of Songs at Aba on Wednesday April 4th at the Methodist Church Wesley Cathedral Diocese Premises, 38/46 Park Road, Aba, Abia State. This will be followed by a Night of Tributes at the Enugu Sports Club, Enugu on Friday April 6th. Events will continue with a Wake Keep on Thursday, 12th April at the Nneji country home, Ogonogo Eji Ndiuno, Akpugo. Interment will take place at the same venue on Friday April 13th, after a funeral service at the St. Stephen’s Methodist Church, Obinagu Akpugo, Nkanu West LGA.

Born in 1935 to the family of Nneji Ogbodoifi and Nwujam Nneji of Nnamejigweoyi of Agbede Akpugo, the late Sampson Nweke Nneji was a devout Christian of the Methodist faith. He was educated, and served as a teacher at the Methodist Central School Enugu between 1944 and 1954.

In 1955 he retired from the teaching profession and became a businessman. In 1977 he established his company Nneji and Sons Electric Ltd, which later became a household name in the field of electric power distribution not only in eastern Nigeria but in many other parts of Nigeria as well.

The late Chief Nneji was a philanthropist and community leader who contributed immensely to the development of Nkanuland. He was honoured in 1998 by his home state Enugu with the Justice of the Peace (JP) award in recognition of his contributions to the development of society. The late Chief Nneji was especially noted for his passion in raising and mentoring young business leaders.

The late Chief Nneji was married to Chief Mrs Chinelo Nneji and together they had nine children amongst whom is Mr Chuckie Nneji, the Managing Director/CEO of Electric Shack Ltd.
