APC CANDIDATE, BASSEY OTU ELECTED CROSS RIVER GOVERNOR

The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Senator Bassey Otu, has emerged as Governor-elect of Cross River State. According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Sen. Otu pulled a total of 258,619 votes to defeat his closest rival, Sen. Sandy Onor of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who got 78,983 votes. While Sen. Otu won in fifteen (15) local government areas Sen. Sandy Onor won in three LGAs only. He defeated his closest rival, PDP’s Sen. Sandy Onor with 78,983 votes.

UMO ENO EMERGES AKWA IBOM GOVERNOR-ELECT

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Pastor Umo Eno, the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Akwa Ibom State, as the winner of the March 18 governorship election. Eno scored 354,348 to defeat Sen. Bassey Albert of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), who came second with 136,262 votes and Akan Udofia of the All Progressives Congress came third with 129,602 votes.
