CAPT. MODEY LOSES MOTHER, PICKS APRIL 14TH FOR BURIAL

Popular Cross River State big boy, businessman and philanthropist Capt. Dr. Hart Modey, is bereaved. The retired merchant marine captain, lost his beloved mother, Late Madam Martina Iyaji Modey aka Mama Boy after a brief illness on Tuesday 3rd April, 2018, at the General Hospital Ogoja, Cross River State.

Late Madam Martina Iyaji Modey who died at the age of 90, is survived by her children, Maurice Modey, Bob Modey, Francis Modey, David Modey, Godwin Modey, Agnes Modey, Chapman Modey, and Capt, Hart Modey PhD., including several grandchildren.

According to a statement by the family, the Funeral rites will commence on Friday, April 13th 2018, with a vigil at the family compound, 68 Ukamusha Street, Igoli, Ogoja.

On Saturday April 14th, 2018, the remains will leave the General Hospital mortuary Ogoja to St. Benedict Cathedral Church, Igoli Ogoja, for a requiem mass after a brief stop at the family compound. Interment, will follow after the mass at the family homestead in Ikaptang Ishiborr, Ogoja.

For those who do not know him, Capt Hart is the man behind the Hart Modey Foundation which has empowered a lot of young people through his skill acquisition programmes in baking technology, paint making, phone repairs, tailoring/fashion design, etc. At completion, the trainees are always given various supports to stand on their own through purchase of equipment and others.
