Nollywood superstar, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has added another feather to her brimming cap. Omotola last Saturday in Lagos, won the best actress in a movie/TV series at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).
The ceremony held at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos Nigeria. Omotola won the award with her role in Jade Osiberu’s flick, “Isoken”, at the event which was also broadcast live to millions of viewers across Africa on satellite television.
Out of the 27 award categories, the movie ‘Tatu’ directed by Don Omope was the biggest winner of the night with 5 awards. The movie won the awards for Best Lighting Design, Best Sound Track, Best Sound Editor, Makeup and Special Effect. ‘Isoken’ directed by Jade Osiberu and ’18 hours’, a directional debut by Kenyan director Njue Kevin came second with three awards each.
