ORANGE DRUGS BOSS, SIR TONY EZENNA’S BROTHER BECOMES A MONK

The late part of last of 2018, saw Orange Drugs boss, Sir Tony Ezenna, celebrating some milestones. In the first week of November, he opened his new mansion located on Mekuwen Street, off Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi Lagos with fanfare.

The classic Roman Palace styled residential house warming had Minister of Labour Chris Ngige, senators Andy Ubah, Dino Melaye, Hope Uzodinma, and many others in attendance.

Ezenna also gave himself a special gift to commemorate the house warming. He took delivery of a 2019 Rolls Royce Phantom. The wonder on wheels is Ezenna’s third Rolls Royce car. Sir Tony Ezenna, who is a Knight of St. Gregory, owns the 2012 and 2014 models of the Rolls Royce sedan before taking delivery of this new one. Ezenna, who is known as a collector of exotic cars, has a Maybach, Bentley among other state of the art cars.

On the last Sunday of 2018, precisely December, 30th, 2018, the billionaire, also held a Thanksgiving church service in Akokwa, Imo State, to mark his brother’s induction into the holy order of the monks. His brother, Rev. Father Monk, Kevin Okechukwumary Ezenna O.C.S.O. was professed into the order of the Monks on November 17th, 2018, at Our Lady of Mount Calvary Cistercian Abbey, Awhum, Enugu State.

The church service of the newest Monk’s at St. David’s Catholic Church, Owerri Akokwa. The emeritus Bishop of Orlu, Bishop Ochiagha, was in attendance. Also in attendance, was the current Bishop of Orlu Diocese, Bishop Ukwuoma. Interestingly, the venue, St. David’s, is a church that has benefited immensely from Sir Tony Ezenna.

The reception was held at the auditorium of Akokwa High School (Sir Tony Ezenna Ezenna Hall). The auditorium was solely built by Sir Tony Ezenna. It was dedicated by the Bishop of Orlu Diocese, Bishop Austin Ukwuoma.

In attendance at the reception were APGA gubernatorial candidate in Imo State, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, Senator Ostia Izunaso, Hon Jones Onyeriri and several politicians and power brokers, who came to pay homage to Sir Tony Ezenna.

Rev. Fr. Monk Okechukwumary Ezenna, was trained as a pharmacist before embarking on the journey of priesthood and now a monk.
