Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Francis Alimikhena has disowned various social media accounts which have recently been linked with him. According to his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Benjamin Atu, the accounts are fraudulent and aimed at defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.
As he puts it, Senator Alimikhena does not operate any social media accounts either personally or officially. In a disclaimer made available to thebladengr.com, the statement reads;
“The attention of the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate and Senator representing Edo North Senator Francis Alimikhena has been drawn to fraudulent facebook and Twitter accounts, Istagram, WhatsApp groups and many other forums meant to defraud members of the public of their hard earned resources in the name of offering employment in Oil Company and other Government Agencies”.
“Distinquished Senator Francis Asekhame Alimikhena does not operate any social media accounts either personally or officially, let it be clear to the public that the Edo North Senator does not sell job opportunities to Nigerians or to his constituency.
