KOGI TRADITIONAL RULERS SHARE N2B, BEG BUHARI TO SUPPORT BELLO

Over 30 traditional rulers from all parts of Kogi State, will be received in audience at the Aso Rock Villa tomorrow June 19th by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The traditional rulers, are storming Aso Rock to beg President Buhari to allow Governor Yahaya Bello, to fly the APC flag in the November 16, 2019 governorship election in the state.

According to our source, the “need to go beg President Buhari is on his insistence that Bello should not fly the APC flag for putting Kogi civil servants under untold hardship with his non-payment of salaries”.

President Buhari has been reported to have frowned at allowing Gov. Bello to run for a second term for owing his workers several months salaries. Bello on his own, has made moves to convince the APC leadership to retain him as candidate of the party, but has been told that the President was not happy over the backlog of salaries owed Kogi civil servants.

Insiders alleged that the traditional rulers which include the Ohinohi of Ebiraland, the Attah of Igala, the Ohegba of Mozum in Bassa, among others, received N2 billion from Gov. Bello to help him go beg Buhari.

The money we hear, was delivered by the Governor’s SSA on local governments and chieftaincy affairs.

Right now, the Governor and his men are waiting with bated breath to see if President Buhari will be moved by the presentations of the distinguished Royal fathers.
