Jude Thomas Dawam, the Plateau State-born broadcaster who is Head of Programmes at the Buzz FM, Enugu, is versatility personified.
A trained Pharmacist, his path with destiny was to lead him into the world of creative arts where he has been dominating.
He cut his teeth first as a musical act with the group ‘B Flats’ who were signed to Daphela Entertainment and managed by Kiss Entertainment.
Thomas Dawam was the first runner up of the popular Star Quest competition with his music band called Evolution Six in the year 2007.
This ‘bundle of creativity’ didn’t stop at that, as his relentless drive couldn’t be tamed. He delved into film making and featured in movies like Poka Messiah, Wrong Initiation and Mummy.
His exploits in Nollywood, earned him a nomination in the Best Supporting Actor alongside veteran actor Jide Kosoko and Blossom Chukwujekwu at the Calabar Movie Awards.
Finally fate took him to his present destination-the Broadcast Media where he has continued to show his creative talent on radio.
‘Uncle Jude’ as he is popularly called by friends and fans, had his earliest stint with Vision FM and then Kiss FM at the federal capital territory, Abuja before arriving at his place of purpose, Dream 92.5 FM Enugu where he with few others built from the scratch.
He made history at Dream FM as the first voice to be heard on air from the station. His resolve and efforts are yielding great results as Dream FM stands very tall amongst equals in the South East and beyond with wider creative contents and coverage at their disposal.
As the head of programmes, there’s no dull moment, as staff and colleagues attest to his ingenuity and depth. Unlike the norm, staff welfare is very paramount to him which is the reason salaries are paid as and when due to boost productivity and better service from the staff and crew.
Amongst his notable exploits, he has featured as a Regional judge of MTN Project Fame, MTV Base Next VJ judge, Life Lager Beer High Life King judge and more.
Outside his career, he is a sports lover who plays basketball and table tennis. He is also a social media influencer, married and blessed with lovely kids.
