BUHARI DENIES DAKUKU PETERSIDE 2ND TERM, REPLACES HIM WITH BASHIR JAMOH AT NIMASA

The Director-General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dakuku Adolphus Peterside has been replaced after his first term by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Meanwhile, President Buhari has approved the appointment of Bashir Jamoh who was before now the Executive Director, Administration and Finance as the new Director-General.

Dakuku Peterside was appointed by the Buhari administration in 2016 and his tenure is expected to end on March 10, 2020.

Bashir Jamoh holds a PhD from the University of Port Harcourt, specialising in Logistics and Transport Management.

Jamoh also holds a Master’s Degree in Management from Korea Maritime and Ocean University, a post-graduate diploma in Management Sciences from Bayero University, Kano and a Diploma in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

From Kaduna State, 56 years old, Jamoh, is also the current President of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (CiOTA). He has 32 years of professional experience in the transportation and maritime sector.

He joined NIMASA in 2003 as an Assistant Chief Commercial Officer, Eastern and Central Zones.
