ABIA, GOMBE JOIN NIGERIA’S COVID-19 LIST AS TALLY HITS 665

On a day Lagos recorded zero case, Abia and Gombe states joined the list of states with COVID-19 confirmed cases yesterday, April 20th, 2020.

Abia and Gombe, recorded two and five cases each as the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, announced 38 new cases on Monday to bring the total number to 665.

NCDC said the new cases were recorded in Gombe, Kaduna, Borno, Abia, Federal Capital Territory, Sokoto, and Ekiti.

The NCDC made this known via its Twitter handle on Monday.

It tweeted, “Thirty-eight new cases of #COVID19 have been reported: 23 in Kano, five in Gombe, three in Kaduna, two in Borno, two in Abia, one in FCT, one in Sokoto, and one in Ekiti.

“As of 11:10 pm on the 20th April, there are 665 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 188; Deaths: 22.
