LAGOS STILL LEADS AS COVID-19 CASES REACH 6401

  Lagos State yesterday recorded 131 new patients of COVID-19 to lead in 15 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 226 new COVID-19 cases.

Apart from Lagos, Ogun State recorded 25. There were also 15 in Plateau, 11 in Edo, 7 in Kaduna and 6 in Oyo. The FCT and Adamawa recorded 5 each while Jigawa, Ebonyi and Borno got 4 apiece. There were 3 in Nasarawa, 2 each in Bauchi and Gombe with Enugu and Bayelsa recording one each.

The NCDC made the announcement on Tuesday night via its Twitter handle.

The new cases brings the country’s tally to 6,401 cases recorded in 34 states and the FCT. 1734 have so far been discharged while 192 have died.
