553 NEW CASES PUSH NIGERIA’S COVID-19 TALLY TO 9855

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday, announced the highest number of COVID-19 cases-553, in 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

This is the first time ever that the country will record more than 400 cases in its daily toll.

Of the new cases, Lagos recorded an alarming figure of 378 while the FCT followed with 52. Others are: Delta-23, Edo-22, Rivers-14, Ogun-13, Kaduna-12, Kano-9, Borno-7, Katsina-6, Jigawa-5, Oyo-5, Yobe-3, Plateau-3, Osun-1.

With the new cases yesterday, Nigeria has now recorded a total of 9,855 confirmed COVID-19 cases in 35 states and the FCT.

The NCDC also announced that 2,856, have been discharged while the country recorded 273 deaths.
