HOW NIGERIAN TEENAGER WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN CHICAGO ON FATHERS’ DAY

Nigerian teenager, Michael Ike Jnr., has been reported as one of the 104 persons who were shot in Austin, Chicago, United States of America over the last Father’s Day weekend.

Five children were among the 15 people killed, including a 3-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl killed in separate shootings in Austin on Sunday

The young Micheal Ike Jnr. according to our source, was an intelligent scholar, was heading to a gifted school, Lincoln Park High School to better his life and pursue a career, when he was killed that Sunday.

Micheal Ike Jnr. and her mother, on the fateful day, had gone to visit his mother’s sister.  While on the visit to her mother’s sister, a friend came over to see Micheal Ike Jnr. and they decided to go to the store to buy chips, pop, and kids’ stuff.

“It was while heading home that they were hit by gangster bullets intended for others. They were caught in a cross fire”, our source narrated.

According to the Chicago police, “The two friends, 15 and 16, were walking in the 4700 block of West Superior Street when someone fired at them, possibly from a gray sedan.

“The 15-year-old, Micheal Ike was shot in his leg, chest and abdomen. He was taken to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead. The other boy, 16, was hit in the ankle and also taken to Stroger. He was in fair condition.

Late Micheal Ike Jnr., was the son of Mr. Rownald Ike from Umuaka, Imo State and the grandson of Honorable Charlie Ike, of Eagles Social Club of Chicago and Power House OZAC.
