
Nigeria’s first female helicopter combat pilot, has been laid to rest in Abuja

The burial held at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja Thursday morning, with the late 24-year old getting full military honours.
The burial however, complied with strict COVID-19 guidelines.

Flight Officer Tolulope Arotile, died in a freak accident at the Nigerian Air Force base Kaduna on July 14th.
The Nigerian Air Force had revealed that the driver who hit her was a former secondary school classmate who, in the process of reversing his car to give her a lift knocked down the deceased.
The late Tolulope Arotile made history eight months before her death, when she was commissioned as Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot.
