.FOR SUPPORTING IZE-IYAMU
Deputy Speaker of the Edo House of Assembly, Yekini Idiaye, has become one of the victims of the war between Gov. Godwin Obaseki and his challenger, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as he was impeached on Wednesday by the members loyal to the Governor.
Idiaye, the lawmaker representing Akoko-Edo Constituency I in the assembly, had few days ago thrown his support for Ize-Iyamu of the APC, against the Governor who is contesting under the PDP platform.
Following Idiaye’s impeachment, Hon. Roland Asoro, the member representing Orhionmwon II Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA) was promptly elected as the new Deputy Speaker.
