ANAMBRA BIG BOY, CHIEF BATRAND OKPALA LOSES MOTHER

Popular businessman, Chief Betrand Okpala (Mmiri na ezero ora 1 of Uga), is bereaved.

Chief Okpala lost his beloved mother, Mrs Marcilina Okpala (Ada ejiego) to the cold hands of death recently. She was aged 82.

A statement by the family of the late Mrs Okpala reveals that her rites of passage, will commence with a vigil mass on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at her husband, late Nze David U. Obika Okpala’s compound, Umuchiaku village, Awarasi, Uga in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The statement signed by her son, Chief Batrand Okpala, said the remains of their Matriarch will be committed to mother earth on Friday, August 21, after a Requiem mass.

The rites will be rounded off with an Outing mass is at the Immaculate Heart Parish, Uga on Sunday 23rd August at 9am.

In the statement, Chief Okpala described his mother as a community leader, shrewd businesswoman and devout christian who gave all her children excellent Christian upbringing.

Mrs Okpala is survived by her children and relatives, including Chief Batrand Okpala (Mmiri na ezero ora 1 of Uga), her first son.
