At the end of the event, beautiful Gwenivere Chioma Ifeanyieze was crowned as successor to the former Queen, Susan Garland.

Gwenivere, beat a pack of 106 who entered the competition with a stunning performance, to clinch the coveted crown.

At the preliminaries, Gwenivere also won silver in the resort wear and talent competitions and gold in long gown competition.

Gwenivere’s area of advocacy which no doubt endeared her to the judges was on ‘recycling waste’.

Earlier, the distinguished judges which included ex beauty Queen Regina Askia, Adaeze Yobo, Monalisa Chinda-Coker, Fred Amata, Ekemini Ekerete, Rikato, Santiago Roberts and Makioba Bob Manuel Olugbile, had first pruned the 106 entries to 30 and eventually 15.

How they were chosen

At the 2020 contest, the contestants were asked to send in videos and to talk about their Environmental advocacy.
The entrants were then screened from 106 to 30.
With the number reduced to 30, the organisers began training them via Zoom about the present Environmental challenges, COVID-19 and the new normal.
They were also given home work which they submitted for marking.
This was followed by a COVID-19 Africa Fashion competition from where the number was pruned to Top 15. The different activities were held on different days.
For the rest of the competition, the contestants were asked to submit videos for the different categories and were judged through Zoom and Facebook live streaming.
