.FRIEND ALLEGES NEGLIGENCE
Its no longer news that the three occupants of the Quorum Aviation helicopter which crashed yesterday in Lagos have died.
Two of the occupants, were confirmed dead on the spot while the third, the Pilot, was taken to the hospital where he later died.
What is news now is that one Gloria Ugolee, a friend if of the dead pilot, Captain Chika Ernest, has alleged negligence by doctors at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, as the main reason the pilot died.
Gloria Ugolee, in her tributes on her social media handle, had stated that Captain Chika was not attended to at the hospital by doctors who were waiting for Police report until he died.
She wrote: …”Taken to the hospital but after taking all the videos for social media, they waited for police report until he died”.
Gloria also revealed that the late pilot had always been one to look out for others. She wrote that the pilot emptied the helicopter fuel tank to avoid explosion while it crashed on a building fence.
She wrote; “Captain Chika Ernest, pilot of the plane crash in Opebi Lagos this afternoon. He emptied the fuel tank to avoid explosion on impact, he crashed on a fence avoiding the roofs and house. Always looking out for others”.
The Quorum Aviation helicopter with three crewmen on board had been traveling to the Muritala Mohammed Airport Lagos from Port Harcourt.
