
Africa’s creative sector will get a major boost as Nigeria hosts the first Creative Enterprise Management training. This first of its kind training programme will be a very intensive programme that will cover Enterprise and Financial Management, Regulatory Compliance, Global Best Practice, Funding , Monetization , Production Overview and other relevant areas.
Upon conclusion participants would have upgraded and/or acquired skills necessary for survival in the content swamped digital economy. Amongst the several expected outcomes ; participants will develop and sharpen the ability to raise funding ,select the right projects ,manage their workflow effectively and efficiently and supervise major projects .Target participants include managers of Creative /Culture Enterprises, Content Owners , Creators and Managers , Artistes, Funders, Risk Managers, Regulators and all those who need to truly understand the inner workings of the sector to enable them discharge their duties effectively.
According to the Project Director, Filmmaker and Creative Industry Specialist Madu C Chikwendu, “Creative Management Workshop is a product of our research into the relationship between Money and the Creative Industry .We discovered that contrary to popular belief the sector has always had funding in one form or the other. The problem has been the management of the resources. This situation has made it impossible for Creatives and Financiers to speak a common language . This historic workshop will bridge that gap enable participants from all sides of the divide to deepen their knowledge and create more wealth”.
