LABO BUSINESS GROUP WINS CITY PRIDE ACHIEVERS AWARD

Chief Excecutive Officer of Labo Business Group, Olabisi Akanbi is in happy mood as you are reading this piece.

The is because, the estate management company last weekend, won the Best Estate Management Company of the year 2020 at the just concluded City Pride Achievers Awards held at LCCI, Alausa , Lagos.

Despite the #endsars protests, celebrities trooped out en-masse to receive their awards in business, politics, media, maritime, automobile and other categories at the event.

It was pay back time for Olabisi Akanbi who had assisted several people and grown lots of business chains in estate management, automobile and entertainment spheres respectively.

Publisher of City Pride Magazine, Mr. Joshua Uloko, during a courtesy visit to Labo CEO at his Lekki office, Lagos, said the Labo Group was chosen for it’s amazing supports for the people at these trying times.

Speaking while handing out the award to Mr. Akanbi, Uloko said the Labo boss, “has proven to be a good role model to many young achievers out there. Young people are celebrating him. That is the reason we are also celebrating him”.

Uloko said, “We have heard lots of good things this man has done during COVID-19 lockdown. Despite business challenges in Nigeria this year, the Labo CEO, assisted youths. Labo Foundation also celebrated Independence day with a massive Children programme. The Foundation as well hosted 1,000 children in Ibeju Lekki area during September 2020 as a result of Covid-19 lockdown pandemic. It also contributed food and take home packs for people. This is as well as his employment of almost fifty young graduates and fifty labourers to alleviate poverty in Lagos and Nigeria at large”.

In his remarks after receiving the award, Akanbi thanked the management of City Pride Magazine for the honour.

According to him, “We appreciate every positive comment about Labo business group. It has been our philosophy that government alone cannot do everything. We have to help people also. That is how Nigeria can move forward. We will continue to do our best. I dedicate this award to our staff who have been working hard to make sure we are recognized”, the Labo boss said.

It would be recalled that Akanbi was recently honoured by the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS.
