TINUBU, AKANDE WADE INTO AREGBESOLA, GOV. OYETOLA FEUD

National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and former Governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande, have waded into the cold war between Osun State Governor, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola and his predecessor and Minister of Interior, Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola.

The two leaders held a reconciliation meeting with the duo on Thursday at the Ila Oragun, Osun residence of Bisi Akande.

It will be recalled that the past few months have been awash with tales of crisis between Aregbesola and Oyetola.

The battle between Aregbesola and Oyetola came to a head when it was reported that Aregbesola, who is the Minister of Interior, had planned to attend a political programme holding the same day with Oyetola’s second anniversary celebrations.

Although the programme was eventually cancelled while Oyetola marked his second anniversary, the feud had reportedly continued, with a former Governor of the state, Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola, taking sides against Aregbesola.

While details of the meeting is yet to be made public, Aregbesola took to Twitter to say the event was part of the stakeholders’ meeting directed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Earlier today, I arrived at the @StateofOsun with my entourage from the @MinofInteriorNG to begin my Stakeholders’ Engagement Meeting with different stakeholders in the state as directed by President @MBuhari,” he tweeted.

Our entourage paid a courtesy visit to our leader and father, Baba Bisi Akande, alongside Governor of the @StateofOsun, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola in Ila Orangun. Baba advised us on #EndSARS and insecurity amongst other issues!”
