JUST IN! ORGANISERS ANNOUNCE CANCELATION OF OVATION CAROL 2020

The Board of the Ovation Media Group led by veteran Journalist, Bashorun Dele Momodu and the Esther Ajayi Foundation, organisers of the annual Ovation Carol, has announced the cancelation of the 2020 event.

In a press statement released on Saturday evening, the organisers said they bowed to “the concerns raised about the resurgence of COVID-19 pandemic globally”, to cancel the event which was already scheduled for Sunday, December 13th, in Lagos.

The statement read in part, “Though preparations were in top gear, we bowed to the concerns raised about the resurgence of COVID-19 pandemic globally.

“As a responsible organisation, the safety of our guests is of top priority and of greater consideration than a few hours of fun and charity. We shall go ahead to support to worthy causes and proje4.

“Our sincere apologies for whatever inconveniences this cancellation might have caused our guests, artists and suppliers. Merry Christmas and please, STAY SAFE”, the statement concluded.

Last year’s carol which held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victiria Island, featured a plethora of stars, including: Grammy nominee, Burna Boy, the Elegant Stallion, Onyeka Onwenu; ageless Sir Shina Peters, Lagos Boy, Olamide; sonorous gospel singer, Tim Godfrey, Kid sensation, Rema, Rudeboy, Teni, Okey Bakassi as the Master compere among many others.
