There is palpable tension in the Nigeria music industry right now as Police sealed off the famous COSON House on Tuesday, preventing musicians from different parts of Nigeria from gaining access.
The musicians, had gathered at the COSON House for their Annual General Meeting and election into some vacant offices of the Collecting society when the Police prevented them from entering the premises located at Ikeja, Lagos State.
Insiders say the development may not be unconnected with a petition written against the Chairman of COSON, Chief Tony Okoroji by Efe Omorogbe, a member of COSON and consultant to popular musician, Innocent 2Baba Idibia.
It was alleged that the Police had invited Chief Okoroji over the content of the petition and as well sealed off the premises.
