Politician, businessman, showbiz impresario and man about town, Osaro Onaiwu and his siblings, have announced February 19, 2021 for the burial of their late matriarch, Deaconess A. U Onaiwu.
According to the programme signed by the Osaro who is popularly called the Earl by friends and associates, the funeral rites will commence on Thursday, February 18, 2021 with a service of songs, holding at Central Baptist Church, Ring Road, Benin City between 1pm and 3pm.
On Friday19th, a funeral service will hold at Central Baptist Church, Ring Road, Benin City followed immediately by interment at the Onaiwu family house. The interment is strictly for family members.
The ceremony will be rounded off on Sunday February 21, 2021 with a thanksgiving ceremony at the same Central Baptist Church, Ring Road, Benin City.
According to Onaiwu, Covid-19 protocols will be strictly observed during the funeral events.
Deaconess A. U Onaiwu was born in Ekekhen, Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State and dedicated.
In her lifetime, she dedicated her life to public service as a teacher and also missionary worker in the Nigeria Baptist Convention where she rose to become the National President of the Baptist Women Missionary Union.
The late Deaconess A. U. Onaiwu, died on Thursday, December 10th, 2020 at the age of 92.
