Former Inspector General of Police, IGP Gambo Jimeta, has died.
Jimeta, died on Thursday at the age of 83. He served as IGP between 1986 and 1990, after which he was succeeded by Aliyu Atta.
Gambo Jimeta also served as National Security Adviser (NSA) to former Military President, Ibrahim Babangida, and was also the representative of Adamawa State to the National Conference held in 2014.
