Victor Okhai emerged victorious on Sunday as the Directors Guild of Nigeria, DGN, elected it’s sixth president.
Okhai will succeed Olorogun Fred Amata, who had been in the saddle since 2016.
Chairman of DGNEC, Barr. Tunji Bamishigbin who declared the results, said Okhai garnered 110 of the popular votes to beat his closest rival Mac Collins Chidebe who scored 45 votes. Yinka Akanbi came third 3 with votes while Kehinde Soaga took the rear with 1 vote.
Tony Akposheri (Vice President), Uchenna Agbo, (National Secretary), Osita Okoli, (Dirrctor of Finance), Perkeme Odo, (PRO), Prince Isaac Kolawole, Welfare/Social, Dan Chukwueze, (Provost), were all returned unopposed.

CEO of International Film and Broadcast Academy, is a producer, scriptwriter, director, cinematographer,Freelance journalist and logistics provider for major international Film companies and TV networks including BBC, Aljazeera, CNN etc. He is also a co-founder of the Directors’ Guild of Nigeria.
