Sunday, March 14, 2021, was a memorable day as Mrs Victoria Azukaego Eriobu (Nne Nke Ife), celebrated her 70th birthday in style in Anambra State.
On the day, which coincidentally was celebrated as Mothering Sunday all over the world, the celebrant, her family, friends and guests presented themselves before God at the Cathedral Church of St Andrew Amichi.
There, in fulfilment of the vow she made before God, she went to the altar with Toyota Executive Sienna.
Thebladengr.com gathered that the Eriobu Matriarch, in 1995, two years after the demise of her husband, had entered into a covenant with God that if God preserves her to train her children, she will come before God on her 70th birthday with a vehicle”.
So on the appointed day, “Nne Nke Ife” went before the entire Congregation of her local church, to present her Septuagenarian, sacrificial covenant offering to the most High and most Sufficient God.
The Church service which was presided over by His Lordship, Rt Rev Ephraim O. Ikeakor, the Bishop of Amichi(Anglican Communion), heldat the Cathedral Church of St Andrew Amichi.
Her children, led by the boss of Infinity Merchants Ltd, Barr. (Sir), Dozie Eriobu(Anyaejiafuzo na Amichi) did not just let the Thanksgiving end there. Rather, they organized a superb reception party to celebrate their sweet mother.
The reception took place after service at the Camp David Court, Umuehi Amichi, the country home of the Eriobus.
Born at Onitsha on the 14th of March 1951, Mama is the 2nd child, but 1st daughter of Late Chief J O Okafor (Justice) and 91 years old Madam Susan Nworienma Okafor.
The occasion was attended by dignarities among whom are the Chairman of Frank Charles Group, Mr Charles Onyido, Chairman of Anambra Rice Mills Ltd, Nze Akai Egwuonwu, the President of New Gates Asia Pacific Industries Ltd, Chief Arthur Eugene, SSA to Governor Willie Obiano on Communication, Mr Iyk Aniagbaoso, Chairman of Kensita Group, Mr Elo Okeke, Chairman Nigeria Bar Association, Orlu Branch, Bar Ogemdi Ezeonye and Mr Joe Azubuike of Joe Honest Group.
Others who made their presence felt at the event were: Chief Tony Okonkwo of Dream Cosmetics, Onowu Ben Amuta of Beneks Group, Chief Josiah Mgbemena of Valencia Hotels Abuja, the President of Diamond Fitness Club, Chief Emmanuel Frank Okafor, Engr (Sir)Igweka Uche of Weltek Group and Mazi Victor Dike(author of the book-“Vulnerable yet Powerful”) among a multitude of others.
