Hon. Lukman Olumoh, a member of the Lagos House of Assembly, was at the last weekend unanimously elected as the new president of the Ultimate Circle of Nigeria whilst a legal practitioner, Barr. Segun Bolaji, was elected as the vice president.
The newly elected officers will pilot the affairs of the club its 2021/2022 Calender year.
According to a statement by Adegboyega Oguosun, the club’s publicity secretary, Ultimate Circle of Nigeria, a leading socio-philanthropic club in Lagos, the elections of the club officers, was the major highlight of the 2021 annual general meeting of the club which held virtually for the first time in almost 30 years of its existence.
Other officers elected include Messrs Segun Owokade as secretary, Dr. Wale Oduwole as treasurer, Hon. Fatai Lasisi as financial director and Mr. Issac Odedere as ex – officio.
In his acceptance speech after his swearing in, the ultimate president, Hon. Lukman Olumoh, assured members of taking the club to greater heights, while ensuring that more philanthropic projects would be embarked upon for the benefits of the needy in Lagos in particular and the nation at large.
Hon. Olumoh added that greater emphases would also be placed on women’s programmes and projects using spouses of members as networking agents for the successes of such women focused programs.
Said he: “Let me state at this juncture, that in spite and despite the new world order as dictated by the COVID-19 pandemic, we will continue as a club to find relevance and maintain our social and philanthropic goodwill within the instance of the global new normal”.
