AIT PRESENTER RACHEL BAKAM DIES FROM ANAEMIA

AIT Presenter, Rachel Bakam, has died.

Her brother, Armstrong Bakam, reportedly revealed that Rachel, a mother of one, died at 12pm on Tuesday afternoon with her mother by her bedside. She was 38.

Armstrong said, “She had anaemia; so, she was taken to the hospital on Friday and she died Tuesday afternoon at about 12pm”.

Kaduna State-born Rachel, ran a popular TV programme ‘Rachel The Piper’ on AIT and was once married to a fellow broadcaster Israel Edjaren with whom they had a son.

She studied English and Theatre Arts at Ahmadu Bello University and Digital Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy.
