All is set for Nigerians to buy and register new SIM cards from today, April 19.
The Federal Government had in December 2020, suspended the sale of new SIM cards to check compliance with registration rules.
The Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, said last week that the sale of new SIM cards can resume as long as telecommunications firms, link them with National identity(NIN) numbers.
Unregistered SIM cards are expected to be blocked after the new deadline for SIM/NIN linkage on May 6.
