IBB International Golf and Country Club joined the network of the world’s golf community in celebration of women and girls in the sport with the 2021 Women’s Golf Day event in Abuja on June the 1st.
The event opened with an array of colourful appearances of women golfers.
Men golfers also came in show of support and solidarity for the women.



Attendees came in splashing colours of red tops on white pants with a red/white face-cap to the event organised by the Ladies Section of the club.
They included Lady golfers from TYB Golf Club, Parkland Golf Club and Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Club.
Secretary to the Nigeria Golfers Federation (NGF), Mr Umar Lambu, also graced the occasion.




Lady Captain MaryRose Richard-Obioha and her members were at the front of things with a promise of an exhilarating experience for all on the day.
In the end, friendship developed amongst participants from different race, religion, language, ethnicity and location who flourished the day with fun experiences.
The four-hour event kicked off as planned with the arrival of the women at 6:30am, a photoshoot session from 7 to 7:30am before the game of golf teed off at 7:30 to end at 9:30.
All guests and attendees were treated to a healthy breakfast at end of play while discussion got on until 10:30am.
Women’s Golf Day is a global event organised in Golf Courses across the world in celebration of women and girls playing the sport.
