GOLF: IBB LADIES GET SUPPORT FROM TOP NIGERIAN OIL COMPANY

The Ladies’ Section of the IBB international Golf and Country Club have received a boost for the 23rd Ladies Amateur Open Golf Championship with a promise of support from a top Nigerian oil company.

UTM Offshore Limited, through its Managing Director, Julius Rone, pledged support for the IBB Ladies Amateur Open scheduled for February 2022, in a meeting with representatives of the Ladies Section led by the Lady Captain MaryRose Richard-Obioha.

The company is one of the biggest oil servicing company in Nigeria, is at an advanced stage to execute the First Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) in Nigeria.

UTM MD, Rone, explained how the company is interested in sports with sponsorships and partnerships of sporting events especially golf, and other sports that particularly showcase women and their abilities in the field.

With the pledge of support from them, the 2022 IBB Ladies Amateur Open looks set to become one of the best female golf events in the world for next year. This assures that participants in the tournament will have the best of experience, and also amazing rewards for winning performances.

Lady Captain, MaryRose Richard-Obioha thanked the Management of UTM Offshore Limited for seeing it fit to work with her and the Ladies Section to make the IBB Ladies Amateur Open Golf Championship an event to look up to in 2022.
