The Nwabunike family of Ezenwelike, Ukunu- Eziora, Ozubulu local government area of Anambra State, has announced the glorious exit of their matriarch, Nneora Maria Adaobi Nwabunike( nee Chukwuma).
Aged 91, the late Nneora Adaobi was a devout Catholic who contributed immensely to the growth of the Church in her community and was awarded the prestigious title of “Nneora” (Mother of Multitude) in appreciation of those feats.

Popular during her lifetime as “Iju Wagon“, the late matriarch of Nwabunike family was also philanthropist and a humanist whose kind-heartedness towards the downtrodden was unparalleled.
A cross section of indigenes of Ozobulu testify to the salutary virtues of the late matriarch. They rue that she will be sorely missed.
The Nwabunikes say having departed this world at a ripe age of 91, her funeral will be more of a celebration of a life well lived.
A programme of events released by the family indicates that Lolo Obi’s rites of passage will commence on August 26 with a service of songs at her residence, Late Chief Jonny Okafor’s compound, Ezenwelike village, Ukunu- Eziora, Ozobulu.
Internment and reception take place on the 27th, August, 2021 after a Requiem mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ukunu- Eziora, Ozubulu while Thanksgiving mass bolds on Sunday, 29th August, 2021 at the same venue.

The late Nneora Adaobi Nwabunike is survived by children, grandchildren and great grand children including a seasoned Maritime stakeholder in Nigeria and the National President, Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Iju Tony Nwabunike.
