
Last Saturday, the garden city of Port Harcourt came aglow when the who’s who, gathered as Orowhuo, son of the former Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, president, Honourable O.C.J. Okocha, MFR, SAN, and Mrs. Ifeoma Margaret Okocha, wed his heartthrob, Tamunodiepiriye, the daughter of former Transport Minister, Alabo Sir Dr Abiye Samuel Precious Sekibo, Achin 111, Head and Paramount Chief of Achin War Canoe House, Okrika, and his wife, Alabota Lady Alali.


The event had all the trappings of majestic splendour, with the focus less on the newly wedded couple, but more on their parents, two great individuals whose traditional and professional pedigrees are unquestionable.



The wedding ceremony, took place at Wesley Methodist Church, Harbour Road, PH, followed by a lavish reception at the EUI Centre in GRA 3, Port Harcourt.

Earlier on Wednesday, September 1st, 2021, culture, fanfare, tradition and modernity had a good mix when the two highly respectable families in Rivers State met to solemnise friendship at the traditional marriage.
The venue was the Achin War Canoe Hall, Awolomebiri, Koniju Town, in Okrika where Alabo Sir Dr Abiye Sekibo, played host to friends and associates from across the country who came to celebrate with the two families.
