*Ugochukwu Emezue
Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has approved the nomination of Mr. Ugochukwu Emezue as a Commissioner nominee.
Emezue, a broadcaster per excellence, was Chief Press Secretary to former Gov. Theodore Orji.
Also on the list, is ex-Footballer, Karibe Ojigwe. Ojigwe plied his professional trade in Nigeria with Enyimba International FC of Aba before moving abroad where he played for some top European clubs including Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Monchengladbach among others.
Those who made the list, include former Secretary to the state Government, SSG, Mazi Donatus Okorie, former Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Prince C.O. Enweremadu, two-time Commissioner for Information, Barr Eze Chikamnayo, Ndom Godwin, Chief Okezie Erondu, Professor Ikechi Mgbeoji, Chief Mrs Uwaoma Olewengwa, Barr Charles Esonu, Chief Chinagorom Nwankpa, Hon Monday Ajaegbu, Mr Sopuruchi Bekee and Deaconess Rose Urenta.
Others are: Chief Kingsley Imaga, Chidiebere Uwagwu Kalu, Barr I.C. Mark, Chief Chisom Nwachukwu, Chief Eze Nwanganga, Barr Tony Nwanmu, Barr Sam Nwogu, Dr Chidi Onwuchuruba, Mrs Adaku Oseiza, Chief Godswill Nwanoruo, Prince Obinna Okey, Chief Ukwu Rocks Emma and Barr C.C. Emelogu.
According to a statement signed by Secretary to the State Government, Barr Chris Ezem, the 27-man list of nominees has been forwarded to the Abia State House of Assembly for screening.
