Members of Catholic Women Organisation, CWO, of Catholic Church of Visitation, First Avenue, Festac Town, Lagos, have concluded plans for the building of Children Liturgy fundraising event slated for Saturday, November 13, 2021
The event, with the theme “Promoting Women of Virtue”, will be held at the church premises. It will kick off at 10am.
According to Mrs Anita Bedford, President CWO, Catholic Church of Visitation, the essence of the event is to build a Children Liturgy hall and a weekend crèche for parishioners.
“As Catholics, the creche and liturgy hall are part of our deliberate effort to inculcate sound Christian values on our children, beginning from their infancy.
“The CWO of our parish thought wise to embark on this project because as mothers, we are not just builders of homes, we are also builders of nations and the future of our homes and the nation rest with the young ones”, Mrs Bedford said.
As part of the strategy from the new Executive members of the CWO to raise funds for the project, there will be a Gala night before the fundraising proper.
