Sunday October 24, 2021, was a memorable day in the life of the Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria, MCSN. On the day, the collecting society, dragged showbiz superstars to a special Thanksgiving service at the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Mount of Comfort Unity District Headquarters, Akowonjo, Lagos.



MCSN Chairman, Pupa Oritz Williki, said the event was to glorify God for seeing them through in their 14-year-old battle to be approved as a Collecting Society and their recent victory over MultiChoice.



Interestingly, the event held at the home church of the Director General of the MCSN Mayo Ayilaran, who incidentally, is an Elder of the church. The Akonwonjo-based church also recorded the presence of all the MCSN board as well as several members.

Those in attendance included, MCSN President, King Sunny Ade, MCSN Chairman, Orits Williki, President of PMAN, Mr. Pretty Okafor, Timi Orokoya Telemi, former PMAN Presidents, Tee Mac Iseli and Charles Oputa(Charly Boy), Barrister & Mrs. Adewale Adesokan, SAN, Professor Alile and Mr. Kunle Ponle.
Others include King Jossy Friday, Lady Balogun, Dupe Olulana and husband, Yinka Davies, legendary Nollywood producer, Chief Zeb Ejiro, Sunny Neji, Baba Fryo, Mike Nliam and Abbay Esho, Mr. Matthew Ojo (Nigerian Copyright Commission), Mrs. Adeyemi (AVRS), Halim Mohamned, Mathias Obahiagbon as well as Evangelist/Pastor J. A. Adeleakun and his Ayewa International music group.
