Commercial flights are set to commence at the newly built Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport at Umueri, on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
Governor Willie Obiano who made the revelation on Tuesday, thanked the management team of the various regulatory agencies including Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and others for their support in making the Anambra airport project a reality”.
It will be recalled that the first set of aircrafts touched down at the airport on April 30, 2021 to announce the completion of the world class airport.
The Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport Umueri, will ease the difficulty hitherto experienced by travelers to Anambra who have over time, endured the tortuous trips to Anambra through airports at Enugu, Asaba, Owerri, and Port Harcourt.
