Former President of the Senate, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, has emerged as the new National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Ayu was returned as a consensus candidate for the Chairmanship position. The national convention which took over place at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
The convention also saw 20 others elected into various positions in the PDP National Working Committee, NWC.
