It is not often that one gets to see the leadership of the Performing Musicians Employers Association, PMAN, gathered at the same place, especially these days when as many as four factions of the union exist.
But Sunday October 24th saw a rare gathering of the current and three ex presidents of the association under one roof.
It was at the Thanksgiving service of the Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria, MCSN, held at the Christ Apostolic Church, Akonwonjo hostedby the Director General of MCSN, Elder Mayo Ayilaran.
Current PMAN president, Mr. Pretty Okafor was present at the event which had three past presidents in attendance. The former presidents, were; King Sunny Ade, Tee Mac Iseli, Charles Chukwuma Oputa, a.k.a. Charly Boy.
Since then, many industry watchers have been heaping accolades on Ayilaran, for attracting these men who rarely agree on PMAN matters over the years in the same Collecting Society.
