Excitement has filled the air, as Deputy Entertainment Editor, Vanguard newspapers, Mr Benjamin Njoku has described his winning the prestigious Olu Aboderin Prize for Entertainment of the Year as a reward for hard work.
Njoku made this remarks while receiving his award at the 29th edition of the Nigeria Media Merit Award,NMMA, which was held at the weekend, in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
He won the coveted award jointly with Yusuf Adebayo of New Telegraph.
Njoku’s winning entry titled, “Rise and fall of Majek Fashek: His true story in USA” was also published in Saturday Vanguard, on the 5th of June, 2020.
The story was written after the death of the reggae legend on the 1st of June, 2020.
