Filmmaker Mahmood Alli-Balogun has been re-elected into the board of the Audio Visual Rights Society, AVRS.
Alli-Balogun was returned unopposed in the Directors category alongside Alhaji Sani Muazu and Prince Jide Kosoko at the 5th Annual General Meeting of Audiovisual Rights Society held on Thursday at the Airport Hotel, Ikeja in Lagos.
However, the Producers, Actors and Screen writers categories had elections conducted to fill their positions on the board.
Filmmaker Chief Peddie Okao, Alhaji Ahmed Sarari and Elder Tunji Ojetola were elected to fill the Screenwriters category just as Chief Aina Kushoro (Kush), Mr. Nobert Ajaegbu and Mrs. Iyen Obaseki-Omoruyi, picked the producers slots.
Similarly, Ms. Monalisa Chinda, Mr. Ejike Asiegbu and Mr. Yemi Solade filled the actors slots on the AVRS board.
Top showbiz practitioners present at the event include: Mr. Alex Eyengho, Mr. Madu Chikwendu, Ms. Lilian Amah-Aluko, Mr. Tony Anih, Chief Zeb Ejiro, Mr. Sonny MacDon, Olorogun Fred Amata and several others.
