Cross River State government on Saturday, launched an interstate boat service from Calabar to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Called ‘Cally Express’, the boat service which will operate between Obutong Beach jetty in Calabar and Nwaniba in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, commenced operations on Saturday, 18th December, 2021.
The Calabar to Uyo journey is approximately a 35 minutes ride.
Cally Express is a PPP initiative between DMOI smooth travels and the Cross River State government with private funding from DMOI smooth travels.
They will be operating daily rides from Sunday to Sunday with first ride by 7am from Calabar to Uyo, 8am from Uyo to Calabar, 9am from Calabar to Uyo, 10am from Uyo to Calabar, 4pm from Calabar to Uyo and 5pm from Uyo to Calabar. The fare is N4,000 per trip.
