FORMER PDP CHAIRMAN, BISI KOLAWOLE PICKS EKITI 2022 GUBER TICKET

Former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Bisi Kolawole has emerged candidate of the party in the June 18 governorship election in Ekiti State.

Kolawole, defeated former Governor Segun Oni, and Kolapo Olusola, a former deputy governor of the state, to pick the ticket.

Kolawole polled 671 votes against Segun Oni’s 330 votes, Olusola got 93 votes while Adewale Aribisala scored 56 votes to come fourthat the primary election which  took place in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday.

Chairman of the Electoral Committee of the party, Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State, also announced Adekemi Adewumi and Lateef Ajijola as scoring one vote each. Ayodeji Kazeem got six votes while Kayode Adaramodu received 10 votes.

Earlier in the day, Mrs. Biodun Olujimi, the senator representing Ekiti south, had withdrawn from the race, accusing the party of disenfranchising her.
