Governor Gboyega Oyetola on Saturday, won the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for 2022 Osun State governorship election.
Chairman APC governorship primary election Committee and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq, said Oyetola polled 222,169 votes to defeat two other aspirants: Alhaji Moshood Adeoti and Hon Lasun Yusuf.
The incumbent Governor who is also a member of the party Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee won in all the wards and 30 local government areas of Osun State.
Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, a former Secretary to the State Government and the anointed aspirant of former Gobernor Rauf Aregbesola, received a miserly 12, 921 votes while Hon. Lasun Yusuf secured a total of q votes.
