Former Chief Press Secretary to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Mr. Enyinnaya Appolos has joined the league of media entrepreneurs in the country.
Appolos who is currently the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Gov. Ikpeazu, achieved the milestone on Monday when he successfully hosted the groundbreaking/foundation laying ceremony of his 93.5 FM, Enyimba Radio in Aba, the commercial heartland of the state.
Appolos who holds a Diploma Certificate in Mass Communication, has worked with top national dailies including The Nation Newspaper, Nigerian Compass Newspaper, and the Union Newspaper, before he was appointed Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ikpeazu and later, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
In a post he made on his Facebook page on Monday, Appolos wrote, “We hope to conclude this project in good time and hit the Aba airwaves, as “…the people’s radio.
We will upgrade the business of broadcasting and radio journalism in grand style, hitting the airwaves professionally.
This is ‘The Becoming’. In God we trust. The future is bright.”
Prominent among those who were present at the ceremony performed by Gov. Okezie were, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Rt. Hon. Eziuche Ubani, Rt. Hon. Eric Acho Nwakanma, Hon. Ibe Nwoke, Hon. Chinwendu Ochulo, Col. Austin Akobundu, State chairman of PDP, Abia State, Rt. Hon. Asiforo Okere, represented by the party’s Deputy Chairman and Chief Obinna Nwachukwu.
