WORLD CUP PLAY OFF: GHANA UNVEILS 27 PLAYERS TO BATTLE SUPER EAGLES

With barely 72 hours to the  first of the two-legged World Cup playoff on March 25th in Kumasi, the Ghana Football Federation has finally made public a 27-man list to take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Ajax player Mohammed Kudus and goalkeeper Richard Ofori are back in the Black Stars after missing the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon earlier this year due to injuries.

Coach Otto Addo has also included three debutants namely Denis Odoi and Elisha Owusu. Both players who play in Belgium were not born in Ghana but have Ghanaian roots through their fathers.

Odoi, a former Fulham defender has earned his first invitation, at age of 33 after playing for youth teams of Belgium and making one appearance for the senior side.

French-born Owusu is 24 and hasn’t tasted international football.

The third debutant is Heart of Oak defender Dennis Korsah who is enjoying an impressive in the Ghana Premier League.
