The Umenwa family of Umu-Umeasiegbu in Ngo-Igboukwu, Aguata Local Government area of Anambra State is in deep mourning.
This is following the death of their beloved matriarch, Mrs Lucy Nnuka Umenwa (aka arunne na enye ndo), nee Igwe.
Akready, the family is taking her transition in their strides and with equanimity and is determined to accord their departed wife, sister, daughter, mother and grandmother befitting rites of passage.
According to the programme of events for her funeral released by the family, the late Mrs Umenwa’s rites of passage will commence on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 with a vigil mass at her residence.

On Thursday April 21, 2022 funeral mass in her honour will be held at St. Flannan’s Catholic Church, Ngo, Igboukwu at 10am.
This will be followed immediately by internment and condolence visits.
Thanksgiving mass comes up on Sunday April 24, 2022 at St. Flannan’s Catholic church.
Aged 79, the late Mrs Umenwa, during her life time, was a community leader, devout Catholic and women advocate.
She is survived by numerous relations including Chief Emma Umenwa, Chairman/CEO Geneith Pharm Ltd and Chief Godwin Umenwa, Vice Chairman Geneith Pharm Ltd.
